⚡ Bolt: Optimize string concatenation in translator streaming handlers#226
⚡ Bolt: Optimize string concatenation in translator streaming handlers#226
Conversation
💡 What: Replaced fmt.Sprintf with direct string concatenation for SSE event building and data URI construction across all translator modules. Removed unused fmt imports. 🎯 Why: fmt.Sprintf uses reflection and causes unnecessary heap allocations. In high-frequency streaming paths, these allocations compound quickly, creating excessive GC pressure and increasing latency. Direct string concatenation avoids these overheads. 📊 Impact: Reduces per-chunk memory allocations significantly during streaming responses, lowering overall API gateway latency and improving throughput under concurrent loads. 🔬 Measurement: Benchmarks or memory profiling on streaming endpoints will show a reduction in allocations (allocs/op) and heap pressure in internal/translator/... packages.
