Chess Grandmaster · Olympiad Gold Medallist · Building with AI
I've spent my life competing at the top of world chess — Olympiad gold with Team India, World Championship Candidate 2024, FIDE Grand Swiss Champion 2023. Between tournaments, I build.
I'm not a software engineer. I direct AI agents to build the tools I wish existed as a professional player — and this profile is where that work lives.
- Kibitz — an AI chess engine trained to predict what a human will play, not what's objectively best. Perfect engines already exist; understanding people is the harder problem. Built and shipped for the Nous Research × NVIDIA hackathon.
- Chess prep & analysis tools — engines, opening prep systems, and training tools built for how professionals actually work. Most live in private repos (a grandmaster's prep stays private 🙂), but the public side is growing.
- Open source — contributing back to the AI tooling I use daily: Anthropic's Agent Skills and agentmemory.
Chess taught me pattern recognition, calculation, and decision-making under pressure. It turns out those transfer surprisingly well to working with AI. I'm documenting that crossover — an elite player learning to ship software by directing AI, not by grinding syntax.
