… is just too much code, and I don't have the time to write my own library to deal with it. If we end up needing finer control over mysql I'll write up a wrapper over the c mysqlclient library. Unfortunately the C++ mysql library requires boost as a dependency, or uses mysql's new xapi. For our simplistic needs as of now, this should do.
