Q: YAVAM doesn’t find my .var files. What should I check?
A: Ensure you selected the correct folder containing the packages. YAVAM scans subfolders recursively, but the parent folder must be added as a library.

Q: The web UI won’t load from my phone.
A: Make sure both devices are on the same network, the web server is enabled in YAVAM, and you are using your computer’s IPv4 address (not localhost). Also check that your firewall allows inbound connections on the chosen port.

Q: Does disabling a package remove it?
A: No. It only appends .disabled to the filename. VaM will ignore it, but the file remains on disk.

Q: Can I use YAVAM without a web server?
A: Absolutely. The web server is optional. YAVAM works fully as a desktop application even with the server turned off.

Q: Will optimisation delete my original files?
A: It can, depending on your choices during the “Versions” step. Always review the summary before confirming. You can also choose “Disable” instead of “Delete” to keep older versions inactive but still present.
