Library Optimization

FivelSystems edited this page May 5, 2026 · 3 revisions

This feature frees disk space by merging duplicate packages and removing outdated versions. It works well when you have multiple sub‑folders where different looks each bundle the same dependencies.

Note: Optimization moves duplicate packages to the library’s root directory.

The optimization window has three steps:

  1. Merge – Shows a list of duplicate packages, you can enable or disable it.
  2. Versions – Shows conflicting package versions. For each, you can choose:
    • Keep Latest (Disable) – Disables all older versions, keeps the newest active.
    • Keep Latest (DELETE) – Permanently deletes older versions.
    • Manual Selection – Pick exactly which version to keep.
    • Do nothing – Skip version optimisation for that package.
  3. Review – Summary of the changes, estimated space saved, and a final confirmation button.
