To perform phantom registration for a tracked needle intervention (calculate ReferenceToRAS transform):
- Create a "To" collection of linear objects.
- Switch to "Model" collection mode, and select the phantom model.
- Place references on the linear object model with known order.
- Place linear objects everywhere on the model as appropriate. The "To" linear object collection should become populated with linear objects.
- Create a "From" collection of linear objects.
- Switch to "Automatic" collection mode, and select the tracked stylus transform.
- Probe the reference on the physical phantom with the tracked stylus in the same order as the references were placed on the linear object model.
- Probe all the linear objects on the physical phantom with the tracked stylus. The "From" linear object collection should be automatically populated with linear objects.
- Verify all linear objects were correctly identified (edit if necessary using the linear object collection tables).
- Select the output transform. This will compute the phantom reference to RAS transform.
- Create a "From" collection of linear objects.
- Switch to "Fiducial" collection mode, and select the active fiducial list.
- Place references on the moving image with known order.
- For each linear object in the moving image, place fiducials on the linear object and and press the "Convert Fiducials" button. Repeat for all linear objects in the moving image. The "From" linear object collection should become populated with linear objects.
- Create a "To" collection of linear objects.
- Switch to "Fiducial" collection mode, and select the active fiducial list.
- Place references on the fixed image with known order.
- For each linear object in the fixed image, place fiducials on the linear object and and press the "Convert Fiducials" button. Repeat for all linear objects in the fixed image. The "To" linear object collection should become populated with linear objects.
- Select the output transform. This will compute the moving image to fixed image transform.
